United States Probation Office
Southern District of Alabama

Marc Seibert, Chief

The United States Probation Office is a unit of the United States Courts that serves both the people of the United States and those who face judicial sentencing and supervision. This unique responsibility places upon probation officers the obligation to strictly enforce the orders of the court while at the same time protecting the offender and defendant from any obstacle or prejudice that will prevent him from successful re-entry to society. To this end, the officers of the probation office are sworn to uphold the laws and Constitution of the United States and to be absolutely fair and impartial in their duty of enforcing those laws.
